What is currency repatriation and what are the implications of this when it happens? What happens when a currency is repatriated? How has currency repatriation recently increased the value of the dollar relative to other currencies? Where has the money come from in the first place, when investors (hedge funds etc) repatriate the dollar? Can someone provide an example of this please? Thanks for your help, it will be extremely appreciated as I’m having trouble understanding the whole picture?
Need info about Liability and Repatriation Insurance? I am Karthik from India going to France in the month of September 2009 for my higher studies. Before that I should sent a copy of "Liability and Repatriation Insurance" to them. Does anybody knows about these insurance details pls let me ASAP.
Would you support Reparations for Slavery if it also meant Repatriation? If reparations were paid, then what would the black community have left? No more Affirmative Action and no more welfare. Since the USA has been such an evil, intolerable country for blacks to live, why not give them their payment, so they can invest in their ancestors' country? They get the added bonus of no white racists. Does everyone win? Once again, if blacks get reparations, what would happen next?
Is there a process of repatriation for Japanese battlefield relics from WWII? My grandfather, rightly, or wrongly, brought home with him an officer's sword and flag from his time in the South Pacific. I have given much thought of late to the question of whether this was ethically the right thing to do, and whether it might be possible to trace whose sword it was and return it to the family. So, the question is twofold: is it possible to do so, and is it something that would be acceptable to do, since I don't know enough about Japanese culture to guess what kind of reaction such a search would garner.
Does the US place a limit on fund repatriation? Is there a limit, and if so, is it waived for migrant labor? I've heard anti-immigrants complaining that Mexican migrant workers should spend their money in the US instead of sending it home to their families. On a side note, is it fair to say that some Americans would rather Mexican labor spend all their money in US bars while their families starve in Mexico?
is our government today tax ion with out repatriation? Do you think our goverment listen to us? With all these spending are they listening to us? And what is it do you think they should do? English is my second lanuage No way!! Their is what I want to avoid! Shouldn't I have a right to voice my opoin on how my country is running?
Voluntary repatriation, would you pay extra taxes? To accommodate repatriating immigrants who serve no real purpose in our nation and appear,to be frank,to be quite aimless and (sometimes hostile) and are quick to criticise a nation that has let them live here.I for one would not only pay extra taxes but would relish the prospect, what about you? Sorry,I forgot to mention I live in England.
Voluntary repatriation under BNP rule? I understand that should the BNP come to power, non indigenous Britains would be offered the chance to be sent "home" with a financial aid package. How much can I expect to receive for my German Shepherd dog and my Amazon parrot? Neither are indigenous to Britain, although both were born here. I assume the same applies?
What is a Repatriation Bond? My friend is traveling to the US. On the second leg of his trip he was stopped at Amsterdam. They wanted him to buy a Repatriation Bond. What is this? Is this normal? Will he get the money back? "They" were people in immigration or customs at Amsterdam. Supposedly he'd get a check to cash in the US for the amount. It would be post dated 10 days. Supposedly to ensure he actually came to the US. Sounded fishy so he declined, but then was barred from the flight.
What is repatriation? I've read the dictionaries descriptions and even the encyclopedias would you please give me a normal persons description of what this actually means? Used in this context: "Accelerate Profit Repatriation"
BNP and Repatriation - please could you explain something? The BNP talks about a "Homeward Bound" repatriation programme in its 2005 manifesto, which would see financial incentives being given to people to return to their lands of "ethnic origin". How far back is the BNP proposing to go with this? What is its "logical" cut-off point? gynmedic - looking at the website, I could not find a 2007 manifesto. Oh really, Sam S? What is the authority for your answer? Where does it specify it's 30 years, or recent immigrants? Have you even read the manifesto? As for being loony left, you are completely wrong.
Repatriation, would you pay extra taxes? to pay for large scale repatriation from our small island of Great Britain for the countless immigrants that serve no real purpose here other than milking our collapsing system???personally id pay an extra £10 a week to get rid of them and so the taxes could be used to help them in their own country, usually middle east or Samalia, and not have them winging about how terrible it is to be away from'home'as ive heard them say many times on tv programmes, what do you reckon?
Repatriation of ALL muslims? Muslims who hate England - they really hate the west, they love 9/11 and 7/7 and are proud to have their extremist views. I think the west is taking a political right-shift and you can see this trend occuring all over Europe. Not a nice situation but it is a trend caused by immigration and extreme muslim fundamentalists who are home-grown. My question is should muslims be sent back to the countries of their forefathers i.e. repatriation? Give them all a one-way ticket, no nonsense, send them all back whether they like it or not. An extreme view but it is getting to the point where extreme action is the only resolve.
Will repatriation to the U.S. prevent me joining the Army? I'm in the Philippines now but I am born an American Citizen, son of American Citizens.. I have no felonies or anything like that.. I just worry that going to the Embassy and asking for a repatriation loan might hinder my chances. I know that a repatriation loan constitutes a debt to the government. I have every intention of repaying that debt straight away by joining the Military.
Forced repatriation? What would be the consequences of forced repatriation in the UK? If the government said all immigrants arriving in Britain( & their decendants)in the last 50 years were to return to their country of origin would the UK benefit( after all we now have an extensive european talent pool to recruit from rather than the colonies); would we have more stability as 2nd & 3rd generation anti-british immigrants would be sent home; would it help preserve britains native culture which is dying out.....or would we be poorer for it? What do you think?
How do I get this type of insurance? I need to get insurance which covers me for "repatriation in case of non work related injuries". How do I get this? I'm a registered nurse and work in Australia. Ta!
What is the best course of action for this International Financial Management question? Navigation Systems Inc. now has total worldwide revenues of over $500 million forecast for this coming year. You have operations in the United States of $300 million with a 12% ROS (return on sales), operations in Germany of €100 million with a return on sales (ROS) of 11%, and operations in Shanghai, China of 650 million yuan with an ROS of 9%. You expect to repatriate all the ROS to the U.S. when available in 12 months. Determine the spot and 12-month forward exchange rates and determine any change in the ROS repatriated in 12 months based on exchange rates versus the current forecast. Describe the repatriation using a spot transaction, an outright forward, and a foreign-exchange swamp. Would there be any use or benefit in using a currency option or currency swaption? Describe each. How would you advise the company to handle the repatriation?
Gary Glitter - enforced repatriation ? I can quite understand why GG might be resisting repatriation to the UK. He would be subject to tighter restrictions here than in many other jurisdictions. If he returned, I agree this would be in the best interests of potential victims. Does anyone see a bad side to enforced repatriation, though ? In this particular case it's easy to support the move but what of the general principle that the UK govt can require its citizens abroad to return to this country ? If we stand back from the scummy awfulness of the GG case, isn't this principle a tad disturbing ? Will G : I've followed the reference and accept the correction - thanks - but I am still concerned in principle that agents of the British govt are trying to persuade GG to return. Isn't this exceptional intervention in the affairs of a UK citizen overseas ? Whether another country will accept him is hardly the business of the British govt unless he seeks its help. He can remain in a Thai detention centre. I can see why the British govt wants to get him back, and I think this would be the best outcome for potential victims. The problem I have is that this is exceptional intervention for which I can see no legal basis. What legal entitlement does the Home Secretary have to pay British police officers to fly to Thailand to persuade GG to do what he has no legal obligation to do, namely return to this country ? Put the point like this : It's not the kind of thing I'm happy for the British govt to do as a rule, however much we may be inclined to make an exception in GG's case.
