What are some movies that deal with issues of sexual and gender diversity?
...By sexual and gender diversity I mean gays, lesbians, transsexuals. Any and all suggestions welcome! Allow me to clarify, I was referring to movies centered around the different lifestyles or discrimination that gays, lesbians or transsexuals experience in society.

- There are plenty of lists out there of movies about or featuring gay, lesbian, or transsexual characters. What exactly do you mean when you say "deals with issues"? Just to help me narrow down my list.

- A good coming out -gay movies: Dorian blues, Edge of Seventeen, Shelter, Brokeback Mountain. Good gay movie: Friends and Family's ( this is one funny a$$ movie!)

This movie is based on a true story and illustrates how brutal and ignorant some people are. Her boyfriend was brutally beaten to death because other people in his unit thought he was gay. He wasn't gay, he was dating Calpernia (a transsexual women). Lastly, I have to say the following: Being gay or transsexual is NOT a "lifestyle".
