- Take some cooked spaghetti pasta, olive oil, oregano & parsley throw it in a fry pan throw in some cooked peeled shrimp and stir fry for a minute. You can substitute the shrimp with fish or white chicken chunks or any meat. You can experiment with adding different veggies. All simple and quick except for cooking the chicken, (all meat needs to be precooked). Besides that, try different types of stir fried meals using sweet soy instead of just the olive oil and serve over rice. They can all be made in a few minutes easily, cheaply and I think it all taste good. I call it the fridge crisper drawer clean out meal....
- Some ideas for you: Corn and diced green pepper; cook separately and combine with butter. Make a grilled cheese sandwich with swiss cheese and tomato. Add cooked and crumbled bacon to mac & cheese. Mix diced cooked ham into canned chicken noodle soup before heating.
- The mention of hot dogs reminded me of this web page... http://www.concierge.com/ideas/hotspots/tours/500723?page=3 Eggs are good with a good number of things like; cheese, just about any veggie you like, and actually they are pretty good with peanut butter as well (though with the peanut butter, the eggs might not be as good if you have veggies mixed in with it, I haven't tried it like that). Chicken (an easy way is to buy one that is already roasted from the grocery store (but if you have time, they aren't hard to roast). Tear off bits of that and toss it with pasta, pesto sauce(if you don't make it, buy some without sugar in the ingredients and make sure it is just made with olive oil and not cannola oil, Alessi is a good brand), and some kind of cheese (Romano, goat cheese, parmesian, etc. or any combination of those). The rest of the chicken you can use to make sandwiches. Sausages (kielbasa and bratwurst) are great with dijon mustard and sour kraut and spicy italian sausage is great with sauteed hot peppers, like poblanos since you don't want to get too crazy. Potatoes you can toss with some melted butter (or olive oil if you don't like the cholesterol or are a vegetarian), salt, pepper, garlic, and some other herbs you like (rosemary, basil, oregano, thyme are all good) and roast at about 400 degrees until they are the doneness you like. An easy fish to do is trout (buy line caught, it's gross what they feed farm raised). You can take a fillet, add some cajun seasoning to it, and throw it down into a pan on medium-high heat (about 2 minutes on each side) and enjoy. It's great with a sweet side like a mango salsa or something along those lines.

- Macaroni and Cheese (Yeah, I use Kraft, but any kind would do) plus ground beef, diced tomatoes, and peas - mix 'em together, and sprinkle some shredded cheese on top. Ramen plus any blend of frozen mixed veggies, plus some leftover chicken plus some stir-fry sauce (Thai Peanut Sauce or Schezuan are my favorites). Make potato soup by browning some hot sausage in a big pot, then add water, and cut up potatoes (leave the skins on, just scrub really good and cut out the eyes). Add a little garlic and black pepper if you like. Make chicken soup with canned broth, some chicken breasts or thighs, and a package of frozen veggies. Get really fancy, and make dumplings to go with it by following the directions on the Bisquick box.
